Loughborough Primary School is a two form entry school
in Brixton.
Loughborough's Head has been one of the first schools
to declare its support for the principle that only qualified teachers (or
teachers on an employment based route to QTS) shall teach whole classes.
The Headteacher is very respectful of the views of the
unions and has had to manage a period of difficulty, respecting the concerns of
teachers' unions and support staff. This was the feeling of both NUT and GMB
when problems arose due to budgetary concerns.
NUT recognises the committment of the school to
teachers, pupils and parents. If it is your intention to apply for a permanent
post there, Lambeth Teachers Association has no hesitation in supporting your
