LEA OUTSOURCING QUESTIONNAIRE
The purpose of this circular is to
request information on the outsourcing of LEA services to schools. The attached
questionnaire applies to local education authorities which are deemed to have
failed by the DfEE and to those which are undertaking outsourcing on a
voluntary basis.
The survey has been formulated in
response to a motion agreed by the Executive, which called for “divisions
facing outsourcing and privatisation (to) share information and assist in
centralising the Union’s information on these initiatives”.
Information on individual service
providers and consultants will be added to the data bank of information on
companies bidding for outsourcing contracts, which has been established by the
EAZ Unit at Hamilton House. It will also be included in a revised version of
the “LEA Outsourcing Briefing Pack”, which was circulated as Circular
No. 36/01(E/EO).
