The Garden at Reay Primary School
The Reay Primary School has been among
the first schools whereby the head has declared support for the principle that
only qualified teachers (or teachers on an employment based route to QTS) shall
teach whole classes.
Reay is a Foundation School (formerly
Grant Maintained) Primary School in SW9 enjoying Beacon Status. The Head, Chris
Toye when asked about unqualified staff teaching whole classes said 'we're not
going down that route'.
NUT recognises the committment of the
school to teachers, pupils and parents. If it is your intention to apply for a
permanent post there, Lambeth Teachers Association has no hesitation in
supporting your decision.
